Christopher Johnston is a Senior Vice President and Chief Engineer for Syska’s National Critical Facilities Team. He leads research and development efforts to address current and impending technical issues (i.e. cooling, power, etc.) arising in critical and hypercritical facilities, and specializes in the planning, design, construction, testing and commissioning of Critical 7×24 Facilities. He brings 40 years of engineering experience, and is a generalist who looks at all trades rather than focusing on only one trade. Chris has served as Quality Assurance Officer and Supervising Engineer on many projects, as well as designing electrical and mechanical systems for major critical facility projects. He has been actively involved in design of critical facility projects throughout the U.S. and internationally for both corporate and institutional clients. He is a regular presenter at technical conferences such as 7×24 Exchange, Data Center Dynamical and the Uptime Institute and regularly author’s articles in technical publications. He heads Syska’s Critical Facilities Leadership Committee, prepares technical articles for publication and is a member of Syska’s Green Critical Facilities Committee.
